On Sunday November 11th, we arrived in Cyprus for a week, for David to give three 3-hour seminars on his latest theoretical developments in mathematical thinking to an audience of 70 graduate students.

On Sunday we shared a welcome meal with Demetra Pitta-Pantazi and her family: her mother and father (Charalambos Pittas, the Mayor of Morphou in exile since the Turkish army took over his town), Demetra’s husband Efthemios and children Christa and Socrates.

Demetra and Christa.

Her mother cradles Socrates as he falls asleep.
