David was invited by Avi Berman to visit the Technion Haifa for a few days in October 2007 to give a talk and have research meetings with the staff. He flew out on Thursday 11th October to arrive after midnight on the morning of the 12th, to be met by Ivy Kidron to stay with her overnight before being transferred by Chaim Tirosh to meet Ted and Polly Eisenberg to stay for two days over Shabat including a visit to the Negev to meet Michael Fried. On Sunday 14th October he caught the train to Haifa to be met by Boris Koichu who arranged his visit to the Technion with meetings with local academics and a one-day conference on Mathematical Thinking. On Friday he transferred to Tel Aviv, to give another talk on his research and to spend the final weekend with Dina Tirosh and Pessia Tsamir.
